The children's author David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.
Acclaimed children's author and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
A representative for the company said: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the move was made after an investigation into allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable towards women.
The publisher declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
An Illustrious Publishing History
Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies internationally in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.
A number of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books altogether, which features a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
From Screen to Page
His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE several years ago for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.
This development follows the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
